"From the very beginning to the very end, Joe went above and beyond any regular duties a photographer should have. He assisted me with a surprise proposal to my fiancée and I couldn’t be happier with the results. He really is the whole package. With I having no idea where to go in Paris, he was ready with suggestions as to where I could pop the question. His articulate and clear-cut directions to the chosen location as well as his outgoing demeanor (even just through text message!) made me feel at ease about my whole experience. He even provided a map of where to meet at the location! He could not have done a better job at making my moment easier. After I did the deed, we had an hour long shoot together where his knowledge of the area and where to take the best photos was nothing short of astounding. We smiled and laughed and never felt a moment of uncomfortability. He captured our moments with absolutely gorgeous imagery and feeling in every photo. "Deciding on a photographer for my trip to Paris with my wife was an absolute headache. I had a previous negative experience with a photographer which was a costly error, and the competition for photographers to capture couples shots in "the most romantic city in the world" was strife. It seemed as though everybody is a photographer there. My wife and I went through 20+ photographers, exploring their portfolios and prices to find someone to suit our preferences. It was extremely tough narrowing down the candidates, however we decided to proceed with Joe.
Our decision initially was based on a few wonderful images displayed in his portfolio which we wanted to recreate and also for his thorough communication and understanding of our wants and needs.
In the week leading up to the shoot, Joe was in constant communication, providing us with his suggested itinerary, as well as his personal ideas and thoughts on places for my wife and I to explore following the shoot. We were confident we found the right photographer for the job.
On the day, we arrived early for the shoot at sunrise. Joe had arrived even earlier and was ready to get to work immediately without wasting any of the scheduled time period. Joe knew exactly what he was doing and was constantly clicking away, directing us at times and leaving us to be at other times, but the whole time he was professional and focused. He took the shots at our pace as my wife had injured her foot previously, and never rushed us at all.
Every shot we had asked of him to recreate, he did and even improved on. His imagination allowed us to capture shots that exceeded our expectations.
Getting to know Joe during the shoot was also a pleasurable experience. He is a real down to earth, humble, understanding, respectful gent, with a great sense of humour.
