Tips for the Shoot!
The most flattering light is at sunrise or sunset, but most times of the day work.
-
Please remember that even the most talented photographer with a camera can only shoot what is in front of them
-
Not everyone wants to say cheeeeese! Your facial expression is yours to decide - smiling, pouting, serious or funny
-
Blinking aside... keep your eyes open - remember to try not to squint!
-
Dress how you would like to be seen, likewise with make-up.
Let me know if you want to hire a dress or other item, or would like a makeup artist. I'll see what I can do.
-
Relax, have fun, remain open and dont be afraid to request different scenarios
-
Follow or request the instructions of the photographer, they are here to help, but cannot decide for you how you wish to appear in a photograph
-
Pack a pair of flat comfortable shoes, there will be occasional walking!
-
If the weather is bad, I'll do my best to reschedule within our mutual time constraints.
However, Paris in the rain is a most beautiful place.
An umbrella can add a touch of class to the photographs, and the rain itself has a great side effect of clearing the most busiest of locations so you get it all to yourself.
The clouds create beautiful flattering soft light - perfect for portraits!
-
Please arrange for any props you desire; it's Paris! We'll supply the Eiffel Tower.
Coffee and Croissants or Strawberries and Champagne!
Berets, Balloons or Macarons!
A Newspaper, a Baguette, a Gauloise!!
I can help you with getting into contact with local services - just remember the logistics of carrying oversized items such as five 60" balloons!!
-
Make sure you have Uber on your phone for shoots requiring transport - often quicker than hailing a cab.
If you prefer a private car (great for getting changed in as well as transport!) I can put you in contact with affiliated companies that will able to arrange a private driver.
-
Create a mood board of your favourite type and style of photograph on your phone to bring along to the shoot, or email me in advance.

Terms of Service
A deposit of 40% may be required, and is due no later than 4 weeks prior to the photoshoot. This is non refundable and that is non negotiable.
Exceptions; Joe Jukes or other affiliated photographer fails to turn up at appointed time, without first rescheduling another time, date or replacement photographer.
The balance will become due on day of shoot via cash, credit or debit card or proof of digital transfer.
Extra time booked during wedding sessions will be considered as whole hours.
-
Joe Jukes or other affiliated photographer will not be held liable for any shots not taken. We are photographers and artists; we shoot as our eyes see fit at a given time. If there is a particular shot, a particular grouping or any other wish that you feel is not being satisfied, then please mention this at the time to the photographer, who will endeavour to capture said moment.
-
The editing process will be in accordance with the general style of photography that you are presented with when researching and booking. Please research my work thoroughly as the end result is a process from start to finish, and can only bear minor adjustments after the fact.
-
Professional editing, by hand; consisting of basic colour and tonal adjustments, cropping and removal of small distractions such as litter is always applied, if it’s feasible to do so. There will be a mixture of Colour and Black and White shots.
-
Extensive use of Photoshop is generally not within the remit of the contract unless previously negotiated.
This includes: Beauty retouching; such as body shaping and skin smoothing. Background distraction removal; such as people or objects obscuring other elements.
-
Re-edits of photographs are accepted within one week of publishing. Edits outside of this time will be considered, but not guaranteed.
-
Exact replicas of the work on my site are not always possible, as conditions and light may vary. Please state in the booking process if you have any thoughts or questions regarding this.
-
Approximately 15 photographs per hour will be supplied
-
Length of time to receive final images is to be discussed on an individual basis. It's generally within 7 days of the shoot, but will not exceed 4 weeks, except in extenuating circumstances. This time limit does not include requested re-edits.
